Two WA-designed buildings have received accolades at this year’s Vancouver Island Commercial Building Awards, presented by Business Examiner.
The We Wai Kai Administrative Building in Campbell River, BC earned the Award of Excellence for Best Office Building. This building beautifully reflects the heritage and traditions of the We Wai Kai Nation. Its form, local materials, and integrated art express cultural storytelling and community identity while creating a strong visual connection to place.
Uptown Residences in Powell River, BC received the Award of Merit for Purpose-Built Rental. This multi-family residential building offers a modern living experience centred on comfort and convenience. Thoughtfully designed amenities, including a co-working space, fitness room, and a fifth-floor outdoor deck with stunning views, support both productivity and relaxation.
